Kentucky Craft Beer Festival

On June 15 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., head over to Historic Downtown Elizabethtown to enjoy some delicious local brews at the Kentucky Craft Beer Festival. This event offers you the chance to sample craft beer from around Kentucky and beyond while enjoying familiar tastes from local food trucks. A Homebrew Competition and a raffle for a bottle of 12-year-old Van Winkle Special Reserve Bourbon leaves much on the line. Attendees must be 21 or over to attend, so make it a night out without the kids.

Freeman Lake Park

If you are looking for something to do all summer long, visit Freeman Lake Park. This 170-acre park has plenty to offer visitors from walking trails and a playground to pickleball courts and a dog park. Fishing is plentiful if you want to head out on the water, and visit some of the historical landmarks that call this park home. This includes the Lincoln Heritage House, the One Room Schoolhouse, and the Sara Bush Johnson Log Cabin.
