Merry & Bright at My Old Kentucky Home
Take a step back in time at one of Kentucky’s most famous landmarks – My Old Kentucky Home. Throughout this historic mansion, you can experience what it was like at Christmas during Victorian times – all you have to do is drive 30 minutes to Bardstown. See the six beautifully decorated 12-foot Christmas trees – each with their own decoration theme – and experience the Christmas customs of a bygone era. Guides dressed up in Victorian hoop skirts or tailcoats will educate you on the tradition of the yule log, the origins of the Christmas tree, the legend of the mistletoe, and much more. It’s a fun experience for the whole family, and will be held from November 15th to January 5th. Regular admission is $14 with discounts available for military, seniors, groups, and more.
